Parent View

Parent View gives you the chance to tell OFSTED what you think about your child’s school.

Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. We will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.

By sharing your views, you’ll be helping your child’s school to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about your child's school. Or, if you want to, view the results for any school in England.

We said …

We are delighted that parents feel so positively about our school as we have a dedicated and hardworking team in place. We realise that the partnership with our families is important and whilst we are delighted with our recent OFSTED report, we still have plans to further develop and enhance our provision and therefore the opportunities available for every child.

Things that could be better…

You said …

‘Lunch portion sizes could be bigger as some of the children are big eaters’

We said …

We explained the new menu that had been designed following pupil feedback and promised to follow up on the portion sizes.

You said …

‘Sometimes more time is needed during parent consultations’

We said …

This is for operational reasons and reminded parents that staff are available most days after school to support them. Teachers are also happy to make phone calls to parents if there is a more complex/ longer discussion needed.

You said …

‘Could School now look at establishing teams for different sports so children enjoy the experience of being in a team?’

We said …

This is something we are looking to do; we think this is important not just for Sports and that it is a natural next step for our school.

You said …

‘Could there be a separate maths workshop for the Early Years?’

We said …

School will arrange this in the next programme of workshops that are shared with parents.

Finally…

We are grateful to all of our parents for their partnership with us and their aspiration both for their children and our school. Our OFSTED report affirms that the journey we are on enhances the children’s lives and that our aspiration for every child makes a difference. We could not do this without our parents - thank you.
