Head Teacher's Welcome
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School.
We are a school family where pupils thrive, love learning and make friends for life. Our pupils have the opportunity to grow, excel and be challenged.
We are very proud of the nurture and care that is provided by our committed and caring staff team. Our curriculum is rich, inspiring and ambitious. It is further enhanced by over 34 weekly extra-curricular clubs, as well as regular class trips and stimulating workshops, ensuring that your child is given every opportunity to foster and nurture their talents.
We are consistently in the top 20% of schools nationally. This is because we ensure that alongside outstanding teaching and learning, our children are taught to take ownership of their learning by reflecting and growing in every opportunity presented to them. Every child benefits from this foundation, enabling them to become life-long learners and positively engage in the community around them. This fosters excellent attitudes and a love for learning and life.
Our core values help to create a culture and ethos of high expectations and standards. We believe that all of our pupils can achieve great things and ensure that they are prepared not only for the next stage of their school life, but also for a job market that will present careers that are yet to be created.
Our children are at the heart of every decision that we make. We are committed to every child and their family because when you join our school you become part of our wider school community. As part of our broad and balanced curriculum we believe in the value of indoor and outdoor learning. We are committed to Forest School for younger pupils and use OPAL at playtimes to ensure that pupils develop their resilience, creativity, collaborative skills and imagination through play. We are fortunate to be able to provide high quality music and art led by our own school specialists.
Please take time to visit us either in person to see our school, meet our staff and of course our pupils who are our finest ambassadors.
